An 8 months old baby from Iganga district whose Dad recently returned from Kenya is among other Five persons who tested positive for corona virus.
Reports by the Ministry of Health, indicate that Five new cases of corona virus pandemic have been confirmed today Wednesday March25th,2020 bringing the number of cases of the infected person in Uganda to 14.
Henry Mwebesa, Director of health services at the ministry of health during a press conference held at UBC head quarters in Kampala today at 1:30PM, revealed that among other who tested COVID-19 positive is a 63 year old man from Najjanankumbi in Kampala who recently returned from Germany and two of the 6 Chinese who were arrested in Zombo trying to escape from the country.
These were supposed to be produced in court on Monday 23rd March, to be read charges against them. This failed as Chief justice Bart Katureebe had suspended courts because of the pandemic.
However, Joyce Kaducu, Minister for Primary Health Care say the Chinese Nationals would not be produced in court due to the fear of spreading virus. She had earlier reported that arrangements would be made on producing the suspects in court.
