KIGEZI
A shocking murder has shaken the community of Kikangaga village in Rubanda district, Nicholas Tumuheise, 50, also known as Kubirabe, was found dead on October 11, 2024, with blood oozing from his ears and mouth. Police has taken two suspects into custody for questioning: Twinamasiko Jackline, 28 and Kemigisha Robina, 38 both residents of Rwakamu village.
According to reports, Tumuheise left his home on October 10, 2024, to attend a burial and never returned. His son, who lives nearby, didn’t raise an alarm as his father often returned home late. However, eyewitnesses claim that Tumuheise was seen drinking with Twinamasiko Jackline and Kemigisha Robina at Keneema Feredius’s bar around 8 pm. The trio left the bar together around 9 pm.
Police was informed by Defense Secretary Kemerwa Medard, the scene was visited and documented. ASP Eli Maate the Kigezi region police spokesperson noted that the locals had already begun searching for Jackline, but she was found to have slept at Kemigisha Robina’s home. The two suspects were rescued from an angry mob and taken to Muko police station.
Postmortem examination was conducted, and the body handed over to the relatives for a descent burial as police continues with investigations surrounding Tumuheise’s murder.
