11-year-old child in Buikwe district has committed suicide after his sister threatened to report him to their parents for allegedly breaking a plastic chair at home.
The deceased is Fred Kelvin Ssemwanga, a pupil at Ssi Primary School Kimbugu village Lugala Parish Ssi-Bukunja Sub county Buikwe District. He was a son of Rev Ssendagire Daniel attached to St Mark Church of Uganda.
Police preliminary reports indicate that the child committed a stressful act after he had accidentally broken a plastic chair at their home, and one of his sisters confronted threatening to report him to their parents when they came back.
Police further established that this was the third chair Ssemwanga had broken at home something that aroused anxieties to him thus ending his life.
He allegedly disappeared from home and few hours later when the family waited for him.without returning to home they started a search only to six over his body hanging helpless on the tree behind their house
The deceased parents; Rev. Ssendagire and his wife were not home when tje incident happened. They had attended a burial in Lugala Parish.
Police visited the scene and the body of the deceased was taken to Kawolo hospital for a postmortum.
