Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese, Lambert Bainomugisha has on Saturday (August 27) ordained fourteen priests and twelve deacons at the diocesan cathedral, Nyamitanga in Mbarara City.
The function started with processions of the Holy Mass at 10:00am with the candidates and the diocesan priests, religious men shepherd by the Archbishop.
The newly ordained priests include Lawrence Aine from Bubangizi, Chrispus
Amumpaire (Kashekuro), Evaristo Ariyo (Kakoma), Andrew Ayebazibwe (Ibanda)
and Wilbroad Barigye, together with Alex Twesigye (Mabonwa).
Others are Julius Caesar Kamukama from Rwera, Julius Muhwezi and Levius Muhwezi both of (Kihani), Frank Mukundane (Rubindi), Ronnie Manzi
from Kyamuhunga, Edmond Mugumya from Kyoga, Leonidas Muhereza from
Kyabwayera Centre, Patrick Tumukunde (Kigarama)
In addition, twelve seminerians have also been ordained to diaconate during this day’s priestly and diaconate ordination mass.
Speaking at ordination mass, Archbishop Lambert Bainomugisha urged the new priests to serve the flock with due diligence, honesty and trustworthy.
