A 63-year-old man in Ntungamo district has been arrested for allegedly defiling his three granddaughters.
Francis Tibijuka, a resident of Rwenanuura 1 cell, Kyempisi, Kakukuru-Rwenanuura town council, Ntungamo district had been living with the victims who he allegedly molested for several times.
The victims whose names were withheld because they are minors (between 5 and 9yrs) reported to their mother, a one Joyce Twiguririrwe, a lodge attendant in Rubaare about their grandfather’s sexual abuse who later reported to police.
The suspect was arrested on October 22, and initially detained at Rubaare police station. He was transferred to Ntungamo Central Police Station on October 25, 2024, where he is still being held.
Illim Muzoora, Rubaare Police Station Officer In charge said police are investigating the matter.
