MUKONO:
Mirembe Rachael Serwadda has claimed victory for the Guild presidential seat at the Mukono based Higher institution of Education, Uganda Christian University.
On November 24, UCU went to the polls to elect new student leaders from the top most position of Guild presidency and other guild parliamentary positions in decend.
Serwadda emerged victorious scoring 1570 votes with a statistical percentage of (55.45%) and the runner up in the race Ayebare Phillip Bravo scoring 1211 with a percentage of (44.55%).
Appended to the win, Serwadda becomes the second female guild president in the history of Uganda Christian University Mukono.
Serwadda Joins her female counterpart Nambassa Shamim of Makerere University who was recently elected Guild president under the NUP ticket, the leading opposition political party in Uganda.
Mirembe Racheal Serwadda is currently in her third academic year persuing a Bachelor’s degree in law at the Mukono based university.
