Police in Nyendo is investigating the death of a female adult estimated in her 20s who was allegedly strangled and body dumped in the bush.
This happened in Kassana Kilobero in Bukakatta Nyendo Mukungwe Division, Masaka city.
The body of the deceased whose identity is still unknown was discovered by children who had gone to fetch firewood and they informed the area head defense, a one Lubega.
According to Lubega, the murderers strangled the deceased, covered her body in a pair of new bedsheets and wrapped it in black kaveera
The Nyendo Division Police Commander, Francis Kidega told Parrots Media that police visited the scene of the crime documented it and conveyed the deceased body to Masaka hospital.
The incident come few hours after a mob in the same division killed and burnt to ashes a man suspected to be a Matooke thief.
Yesterday, a man travelling on a Boda Boda was attacked and killed by the mob after they suspected that he was transporting a bag of stolen Matooke. His body and motorcycle were also burnt to ashes.
