Idaadand Thanawi examination board yesterday released the 2022 Idaad and Thanawi examination results showing an improvement in the overall performance compared to the last years’ performance.
While releasing the results at the board headquarters in Kawempe-Kampala, the executive secretary for the Idaad and Thanawi Examinations Board Dr. Ziad Swaleh Lubanga said a total of 1451students from 73 Islamic schools registered for Idaad and 568 students from 39 Islamic schools registered for Thanawi across the country.
Dr. ziad meanwhile said 18 thanawi students and 5 idaad students registered but didn’t turnup for the exams.
According to the board, a total of number of candidates who passed in division 1 were 317 representing 12.8%compared to 11.9% in 2020
Speaking during the release, Sheikh Juma Bakhit the secretary for education at Uganda Muslim supreme council argued the teachers in the Muslim founded schools to fight homosexuality which is becoming dangerous in the country to see that the children are not penetrated.
Sheikh Bakhit meanwhile expressed dismay over people who misuse the rights claim to enforce wrong rights adding that this has caused moral decay among Africans there appealing to the school heads and leaders to equip students with knowledge on how to pass through this wrong talks.
