The Inspector General of Police, Abbas Byakagaba has implemented strategic changes in police command, with the transfer and appointment of several officers at strategic, operational, and tactical command levels.
Key changes include:
AIGP Musana Geoffrey has been moved from the Directorate of Welfare, Production, and Sports to the Ugandan Embassy in South Sudan, where he will serve as the Police Attaché.
SCP Sakira Moses has been reassigned from the Ugandan Embassy in South Sudan to the Directorate of Research and Planning as Deputy Director.
SCP Halango Timothy has been transferred from the Directorate of Research and Planning to the Directorate of Welfare, Production, and Sports as Deputy Director.
CP Mubangizi Ben has been deployed to Algeria from the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety, where he will take up the position of Police Attaché.
CP Ssebambulidde Charles has transitioned from Agriculture Police to the Directorate of Logistics and Engineering as Acting Deputy Director of Classified Stores.
CP Acaye Philip has been transferred from the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety to Agriculture Police as Commandant.
ACP Musinga Norman has been reassigned from Regional Police Commander, Busoga East, to the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety as Acting Deputy Director.
The Uganda Police Force congratulated the appointed officers on their new roles and wished them success as they take on their new responsibilities.
