Robert Mukholi Kabushenga, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Uganda’s leading media house, Vision Group has resigned from his works at the media organization to concentrate in his farm works.
“This is to let you know that for personal reasons I have asked the Board for an early retirement and this has been accepted,” Kabushenga announced his retirement in a mail to staffs.
Kabushenga, posted on his twitter confirming to the news of his early retirement age.

According to a tweet, the CEO said he will now be taking a full time job at his coffee farm in Rugyeyo Kanungu, South western Uganda.
Kabushenga, a lawyer, celebrated obsessed farmer, business person has served to the capacity of CEO NVPPLC since January 2007 replacing William Pike, the organization’s first CEO.
Deep background sources says his contract expired in July last year and the CEO was not in position to request for a renewal.
Speaking on his retirement, he couldn’t hide the prudence of his successes registered at the organization while he attributes this to the team he has since worked with.
“I am proud of the success we achieved.This was possible because we worked together as a team. For me, it was absolute honor and pleasure to have done so.” he bade farewell.
In his reign of service as the CEO, Kabushenga has grown the organization into a conglomerate of both Print and electronic media for instance, the company dominates Newspapers, Magazines, Digital websites publishing, and Broadcasting Radio & Television stations in the market in Uganda and East Africa.
Among the print media includes National Newspapers such as The New Vision, Saturday Vision, Sunday Vision, Kampala Sun, and other regional Newspapers like, Bukedde, Orumuri, Rupiny and Etop. The company also publishes Magazines such as Bride & Groom, Flair magazine & Toto Magazine, a pull out of the Sunday Vision Newspaper meant to entertain, educate and inform the young children.
The electronic media includes digital websites and online TV such as: the new vision website, Bukedde website, jobs website, the new vision mobile app and the 8338 vision group mobile SMS platform.
The broadcasting Television stations are; Bukedde TV1 &2, Urban TV, TV West, New Vision Online TV, and the recently launched LUO TV whereas the briadcasting radios include stations like 100.2FM Radio West, 94.8XFM, 100.5 Bukedde FM, 95.7FM Radio Rupiny,99.4FM Etop Radio.
Profile: Kabushenga retires at the age of 53 yes. He worked as the head of the Uganda Media Centre, Vision Group Secretary & legal officer, and also as the legal administration officer of the monitor publications limited.
Kabushenga’s replacement has not been thought yet but Parrots UG learned that board will spend a period of three months to scrutinize the would be his successor.
Similar reports by the New Vision Newspaper said the organization board has requested Kabushenga to oversee a 90 days transition before he could move on.
