President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed former Church of Uganda Archbishop, Henry Luke Orombi the chancellor of Muni University in the West Nile.
In an appointment letter dated September 28 which PARROTS MEDIA seen, the appointment of Emeritus Bishop Orombi is due to in exercise for presidential powers granted in section 30 (1) of the universities and other institutions Act, 2001 and on recommendations of the university council.
Orombi replaces Dr. Eric Tiyo Sekebuga Adriko who has been holding this position for so many past years
Orombi by the time of this appointment has been in retirement at his country home in Goli outside Nebbi Town. His appointment comes few months after the demise of the University founding Vice Chancellor Prof Christine Ondoa.
Reports indicate that Orombi will be leveraging on his international connections and good will to strengthen and make things better for the regional University.
