BSU opens physical classes for medic students

MBARARA: Bishop Stuart University has announced  reporting dates for physical classes for continuing students at both Ruharo campus and the main campus at Kakoba Mbarara city.

The announcements follow directives by the National Council for Education (NCHE) allowing all medical schools and institutions to reopen for physical learning.

In a circular dated August 31 by the university Academic Registrar,   Aruho Abdon Rutega, the university will open in a phased manner one way of adhering to covid19 SOPs.

For instance, continuing students pursuing Bachelor of Nursing Science (3rd yr) Bachelor of Public Health (1st & 2nd yrs), Diploma of Public Health (1st yr), and Bachelor of Nursing Completion (2nd yr) will report on September 3, whereas second and first year students of Bachelor of Nursing Science, and Diploma Nursing Science 1st yr students will report on September 17,2021.

As way of avoiding pissible spread of coronavirus disease, the university has made proper arrangements to access vaccination services to students upon reporting.

Learners who have already undertaken COVID-19 vaccine have been advised to carry with them vaccination cards.

Rutega further disclosed that the university has maintained the fee structure for all courses.

“Be informed that all fees and university requirements remain the same,” “Come ready to register upon payment of 50 percent on total tuition.” Rutega cautioned.

Students have been asked to carry; face masks, 500ml hand sanitizer each, disposable aprons for nursing science students and clinical coat for Bachelor of Public Health students.
