While speaking to the media this evening the FDC Deputy spokesperson Richard Muyombya says it has now become a culture for President Museveni that every general election, he comes up with a program deceiving Ugandans that he cares about them.
Richard Muyombya has for example cited that in 1996-1997, President Museveni came up with Entandikwa, 2001-Bona Bagagawale, 2006 poverty eradication action plan, 2011 Operation Weath creation, 2016 Emyooga and 2021 Parish Development Model which he says haven’t much helped Ugandans to fight poverty.
He says that President Museveni’s visit to Busoga would be for him saying goodbye to Busoga and thanking them for the support given to him for all the 39 years he has been in power and to assure them that he is not coming back to contest in the 2026 general elections.
Muyombya has also advised President Museveni and the team that the money they are going to use for this tour, instead should be used to renovate hospitals, secondary schools, road maintenances, among other things that are so important to this region.
It should be noted that President Museveni is scheduled to visit Busoga from this week’s Wednesday 22nd Jan 2025 to 25th Jan 2025 and his visit is aimed at monitoring effectiveness of the PDM -Program in the region.
