At least one person has been confirmed dead after a suspected Charm tree was cut down during spiritual prayers by a group of worshippers in Aparango village, Aloi, Alebtong district.
According to reports, a prayer group went to the home of the late Adilo Tom where a charm was suspected and during the prayer they ordered that a big tree in the courtyard be cut down to stop the bad spirits from attacking the family.
Oceng Godfrey, a family member intimidated to Parrots UG that the tree fell on Eleven people in the congregation killing Eunice Ogwang on spot.
Injured worshippers were rushed to Hallelujah Medical Centre for treatment.
