The Electoral Commission has started the display of the Voters’ Register in different polling stations in preparation for the by-elections for Local Government councils and the district woman representative.
Paul Bukenya, the Electoral Commission spokesperson says that the public display for the voters’ register officially started on February 21 and will run for the next 9 days until 1st March.
He says that the exercise is to help the electoral body clean up the voters register and know their designated polling stations.
Dokolo district woman member of parliament seat fell vacant on January 18 following the death of former MP Hon. Cecilia Ogwal Barbrah.
Several political parties are in processes to nominate their flag bearers for all the electives positions.
Elections for Dokolo district Woman MP and local government vacant positions is scheduled to take place on March 21, 2024.
