Humanitarian Help For Uganda has today donated assorted items to the emergency response team at Holy innocents children’s hospital Mbarara.
The items include ambulance spare parts, clothes and cutlery estimated at a cost of 38 million. These items were received by the HHFU Mbarara base.
These items will be distributed among all the Humanitarian Uganda bases which include Kalori Lwanga Nyakibale hospital, Kyabirukwa HCIII, Ibanda Hospital Kagongo, Comboni hospital Kyamuhunga, Vira Maria Masaka and Mbarara regional referral hospital.
While receiving these items, the Holy innocents children’s hospital administrator Mr. Tumusiime Robert hailed the emergency health team for their dedicated and selfless work they are doing even when they are not paid. He appreciated the HHFU under the leadership of Thomas Pankoke for providing the ambulances that have helped in emergence response in most parts of Uganda.
“On behalf of Holy innocents children’s hospital and other beneficiaries of Humanitarian Help For Uganda, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Thomas Pankoke for his continuous support through HHFU to Ugandans”, said Mr Tumusiime Robert.
Tumusiime challenged the HHFU Holy innocents children’s hospital team to maintain the standards disclosing that the department has many opportunities like trainings and scholarships that they should not miss out.
Tumusiime noted that so far a number of volunteers have already benefited through special trainings and on job trainings like the ambulance drivers which has helped them to improve on their carriers.

Mr. Darius Tugumenawe who is the mobilizer for the Holy innocents children’s hospital HHFU noted that the emergency response at Holy innocents children’s hospital with the support of HHFU have helped many Ugandans especially during covid-19 lockdown. He also thanked the public for always contacting them during times of emergencies when there is need.
Darius thanked the hospital management for their continued support to the emergence response team. HHFU apparently has 16 ambulances that offer emergence response in Uganda. Mr. Tugumenawe has called upon the public to always contact them on their emergency number 0700657662 in case they need their services at any time of the day.
