Equity Bank Uganda has clarified on early morning attempted robbery.
According to a statement issued by the bank, unknown armed robbers attempted to gain access into the banking hall.
It is alleged that the thieves tried to use a ladder to enter the bank, but security foiled their attempt.
The bank however said that the condition is calm again and no life or property was lost during the incident.
“No life or property was damaged or lost. Security agents led by local authorities are currently investigating the incident,” the bank said.
The bank added that normal banking services have resumed at the affected branch.
Further reports indicate that two SGA security guards are in custody for investigation.
