The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has released a tentative program for the burial of fallen Dokolo district woman member of parliament, Hon. Cecilia Imat Ogwal Barbrah Atim who passed away on Thursday January 18, 2024 in India.
According to the program, mourners will be gathering at the late Hon. Ogwal’s home in Bugolobi, Kampala, Adok, Dokolo District, Lira City and Alito, Kole District awaiting arrival of the body.
In a statement, FDC did not confirm dates for items on the program because no official communication regarding repatriation of the deceased body to her country.They noted that the program is subject to amendments.

DAY 1 : Body arrives at Entebbe and departs for Mulago Hospital and thereafter A plus Funeral home.
DAY 2 : Body departs from A plus Funeral home to All Saints Cathedral for a funeral service and thereafter to her home in Bugolobi for a vigil.
DAY 3: Body departs from Bugolobi to Parliament for Special Sitting to pay tribute and thereafter to A plus Funeral home
DAY 4 : Body departs from her Residence in Bugolobi to Dokolo via Soroti for a Joint Council Meeting at Dokolo District Local Council and thereafter A vigil at Adok,Dokolo.
DAY 5: Body departs Adok for Lira City for church service at St. Augustine Church and thereafter night vigil at Senior Quarters.
DAY 6: Body departs Lira City for Alito, Kole. Service to receive the body and vigil at the Family Home at Alito, Kole.
DAY 7: Burial Programme at Alito, Kole.
NB: This program is subject to amendments, and dates will be confirmed once more details on the repatriation of the body are provided.
Earlier this day, the party Secretary General, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi mourned their party member, Hon. Ogwal and commended her works towards nurturing young legislators, contributions on the floor of parliament among others.
“We are devastated by this unspeakable loss to the FDC Party, the Opposition in Parliament, the people of Dokolo District and Lango Subregion, the country at large and the greater cause for Justice and peace,” Nandala said.

He insisted that its not accurate to say that Uganda will miss her but rather the World will dearly miss Imat Barbra Atim Cecilia
