The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) will on Wednesday unveil its 2026/2031 manifesto during a special National Council meeting at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, Kampala.
The party’s deputy secretary for publicity in charge of documentation and publication, Mulindwa Walid Lubega, said the document will outline FDC’s “social contract with the people of Uganda” ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The meeting follows the July 30 announcement by national chairperson Hon. Jack Sabiiti summoning the council after Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat withdrew his candidature for the party’s presidential flag bearer position in favour of Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi.
It will take place on August 13, at party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, Kampala.

According to FDC, the council will ratify and officially unveil Nandala as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2026-2031 term and hand him the “necessary instruments of power.”
The meeting will also include an update on the health of the party, Mulindwa added.
