Over 40 Catechists from Gulu Archdiocese were trained in basic counseling skills to help them manage psychological challenges in their ministry works.
The four days training took place at Gulu Archdiocese headquarters and was closed on Monday with awarding of certificates of participation to the trainees.
In his closing remarks, the Vice Chancellor of University of Sacred Heart Gulu, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jino O Mwaka urged the Catechists let the training bring meaningful transformation in their lives rather than telling others that they attended a training without any visible change in their lives.
The program was organized by University of the Sacred Heart, Gulu Counselling Unit was conducted under the theme “Empowering Catechists to Address Psychological and Emotional Challenges during Pastoral Ministry.
