The Uganda Peoples Congress party has has asked stakeholders in the education sector to be more considerate and humane to allow students with outstanding school fee balances to sit for their fourthcoming national examinations.
The call has been made by Arach Oyat Sharon, the party Spokesperson when she was addressing journalists at party headquarters on Wednesday.
“We call upon all stakeholders to be more considerate and allow our candidates sit examinations especially those that have fees arrears and balances,” she said
Arach furthermore appeals to parents to work hard and clear balances to avoid inconviniences after the release of the results early next year
In addition, she warned teachers against examination malpractice saying that teachers should be vigilant and prepare their students to confidentially sit these examinations
Ben Bakkabulindi Kigongo, the assistant Secretary General of the UPC also urgued the government to put in place preparation measures to deal with extreme weather patterns especially in the disaster prone areas as well as providing emergency examination centres incase of eventualitieses during this period.
Uganda certificate Examinations (S.4 final exams) are due to start on 14th October and end on 18th November according to the timetable released by UNEB.
