The oil city catholic dioces of Hoima also the Mbarara Archdioces Ecclesiastical province is set to get new priests in a priestly and deaconate ordination.
10 deacons who have completed their theological studies from different seminaries are going to be ordained priests while four seminarians are to be ordained to deaconate.
The ordination is taking place today February6, at the diocesan cathedral Bujumbura in Hoima city.
Deacons to be ordained priests include Rev. Deacons: Agaba Godfrey Amooti, Robert Senyonga, Patrick Muhonge Ateenyi, Joseph Balikudembe, Patrick Aliguma, Birungi Tadeo, Lawrence Wobusobozi Adyeeri, Asiimwe Joseph Atwooki among others.
Bishop Vincent Kirabo, the diocesan bishop will be the chief celebrant of the ordination masss.
In order to contain the possible spread of COVID-19 disease, few catholics from the seven districts of Bunyoro which make up Hoima diocese are expected to attend the functions on invitations.

In related news, Kasese diocese has already started ordination mass at St. John The Evangelist minor seminary Kibura in which 12 deacons are going to be ordained priests and 4 seminarians to be ordained to deaconate. Among the new priests include twins KATO and Isingoma Katuramu, the born of Kasanga parish in Kasese district.
Bishop Francis Aquirinas Kibira is the main celebrant of the mass.
