KASESE
The Kasese Grade One Magistrates Court has further remanded three men to Mubuku Government Prison on charges of criminal trespass.
The accused, Bwambale Johnson Isebaswagha, Isaya Bwambale, and Pascal Bwambale, were on Tuesday returned to prison until September 8, 2025, following a ruling by His Worship Mbale Ngamijje Faishal.
Prosecution alleges that on August 13, 2025, while in Kirembe Cell, Kasese Municipality, the trio, together with others still at large, unlawfully entered land belonging to Rev. Johnkenson Murabyo with the intent to annoy him.
State Prosecutor, Godfrey Oundo, requested court for more time, noting that police investigations were still underway to apprehend additional suspects in the case. The magistrate granted the adjournment.
Outside court, Defence counsel, Eugene Kabagambe, said the ruling on his clients’ bail application had also been pushed to the next sitting, arguing that the prosecution had raised objections until all suspects are arrested.
Meanwhile, Rev. Murabyo, the complainant, called on the accused to produce clear documentation regarding ownership of the disputed land, urging them to “act transparently.”
The case will return for mention on September 8, 2025.
