The Ministry of Health in Kenya has confirmed to have recorded the highest number of corona virus since the first case was confirmed in the country in March.
According the Ministry CS Mutahi Kagwe, Kenya has recorded 45 cases in 24hours the first of it’s kind the country has ever registered.
“In the last 24hrs, out of 1,077 samples tested, 45 turned positive being the highest number ever since the first case was registered in March,” CS Mutahi.
According to the statement from the Ministry, Nairobi and Mombasa tops the list with 29 and 11 cases respectively while Wajir has 5 cases and the another 1 (one) foreign case is of a Somalis national. The Ministry said the 5 cases have travel history to Mogadishu.
The new cases have risen the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Kenya to 515case, 173 of which are recoveries and 24 death fatalities.
