Mbarara Archdiocese priest, Rev. Fr. Wycliff Byamugisha, has died following a tragic road accident that occured at Kabobo, Igorora area, Ibanda district.
The accident occured on Sunday (October 20) in the afternoon hours, according to reports.
Fr. Wycliff Byamugisha, a young cleric hails from Kashekuro Parish in Sheema district. He has been the Curate Priest of Nyabuhikye Centre, Kagongo parish.
Fr. Byamugisha was ordained a priest in July 2018, and had spent close to 6 years in priesthood.
The faithful who knew and worked closely with Fr. Byamugisha have expressed their deep sorrow. “Faaza Waitu, Ahumuure omubusingye,” “Rest in peace, Our beloved Priest,” a Christian said in a social media post.
