Mbarara City South MP aspirant and former students’ Guild President at Bishop Stuart University – Mbarara, Denmark Adios Beinomugisha has passed away .
Denmark, a renown People’s Front for Freedom youth political activist reported fell from a staircase at Grand Hotel Mbarara and was rushed to Mayanja Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, succumbing to his injuries.
The FDC where Denmark served as a Youth Leader before crossing to rival PFF described him as a leader who was committed to the struggle.
“Denmark was a vibrant and committed young voice in our struggle. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones,” FDC eulogized.
He is part of the 36 PFF youth who were arrested in Kisumu Kenya where they had gone for a training, repatriated and detained in Uganda.
“His inclusion in the controversial “Kisumu 36″ list was a testament to how much he shook the status quo. Yet even then, he remained resilient and focused on peace, justice, and representation,” said PFF.
The party further defined him as not only a political figure but also a symbol of hope for youth leadership in Uganda.
“Death should have an age limit,” someone wrote—perhaps in grief, but also in truth. Denmark left us too soon, but he left us stronger, wiser, and more determined”
His death is a second blow to the FDC and PFF, following the demise of the former’s chief finance, Dr. James Musinguzi Garuga, who died on Wednesday morning at Nakasero Hospital.

A former Secretary for Economic Affairs in the Reform Agenda that later turned into FDC, Garuga’s contribution to democratic struggles in Uganda remains a landmark. He reportedly offered both moral and financial support to the FDC, giving the party its first and current home at Plot 116 Najjanankumbi Kampala.
“Dr. Garuga was not only a distinguished entrepreneur and community leader, but also a committed political actor whose contribution to Uganda’s democratic struggle, particularly in the formative years of the Reform Agenda and the birth of the FDC,” FDC mourned.
May the souls of the departed fighters rest in eternal peace.
