The National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert also known as Bobi Wine has said that military has this morning besieged his home in Magere and made several arrests.
The raid comes two days to the general elections schedule on Thursday January 14.
Bobi revealed that last night, the army raided the home of his personal assistant a one, Davie Bwanika arrested him and whisked to a yet unknown detention.
“One of my personal assistants @DavieBwanika‘s home was raided in the night, broken into and he was violently arrested by the army and driven to an unknown destination. I know they’ll do more of such and worse but we shall not give up. #WeAreRemovingADictator”
Apparently, the army and other security agencies in Uganda are raiding several homes of the opposition politicians and other citizens suspected to be sidelining with the opposition groups. Some of these have been kidnapped and their whereabouts still unknown, while others face brutal murders.
