The Serere County member of parliament Hon. Bishop Patrick Okabe has passed on.
The MP died in a fatal road accident that happened at Naboa in Budaka district.
Eye witnesses say that the accident occured when the legislator’s vehicle Toyota Land Cruiser registration number UBK 995F collided with a speeding lorry truck (registration number yet to identify) killing him instantly.
Okabe is the director of Faith Fellowship Church Mbale and Impact Bible College. He was voted into parliament in 2016 and has been an influential figure in the politics of Teso sub region.
During his time in parliament, he is known of championing for climate change in Uganda and global states.
He has also been at the helm of alleviating poverty in Teso region through supporting women and youth groups, spiritual and socio-economic growth in the area. MHSRIP!
