The mufti of Uganda Shk Shaban Ramdhan Mubaje has condemned discrimination act that the government of Uganda is trying to form between the teachers in Uganda.
In his Eid message, to the hundreds and hundreds of Muslims that attended Eid prayers at Gadafi National Mosque, the mufti of Uganda stated it clear that the artists teachers did not commit any crime to study artists courses because the government its the one which opened up artists colleges that train artists teacher.
“It is not right to increase salary for the science teachers and then leaving out the arts teachers! This is total discrimination because even the artists are doing their work so the government should also look into this issues and increase their salaries,” Mubaje said.
The mufti wondered how the government that has been all along encouraging teachers to join these teaching colleges is the same denying them a pay rise noting that it’s not the teachers’ fault to study artists courses or teach art subjects.
“It is not the artists teachers fault to teach arts subjects because they are taught in even government colleges, so, it’s not fair to punish them as if they made a crime,” Mubajje added.
The flattering mufti of Uganda advised the government if they see that the artists subjects and courses are no longer important they should scrap off arts courses and close all the colleges that train arts teachers to save other Ugandans.
