President Museveni as the chief Guest praised Owobusobozi Bisaka for promoting unity , discipline, and a strong work ethic .

“These people have resisted disunity.
I can to understand what you believe and see the good in it . I pray for your blessings and pledge my support “, the president said .

He emphasized the need to preserve African cultural values and urged the believers to continue fostering self – reliance , peace and development through unity .

During the celebration, President Museveni also commissioned a new multipurpose school building at Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka Itambiro Secondary School highlighting the faith’s commitment to youth empowerment and education. The school is part of a growing network that now serves over 5,000 students with both spiritual and practical knowledge.

As a gesture of gratitude for his leadership and respect for religious freedom, Owobusobozi presented Museveni with a heifer and endorsed his continued leadership of Uganda.

“Without peace, our mission would not have thrived. We thank you for creating an environment where Ugandans can pray freely,” Owobusobozi said.

Born in 1929, Bisaka founded the Faith of Unity on February 22, 1980, following what believers describe as a miraculous healing of a chronically ill woman named Mutoro. His followers view this event as the start of a divine healing mission of 96 years

The Faith of Unity has since expanded to 35 dioceses (bukwenda) across gobal each with a healing center. Monthly gatherings and prayers are held on the 2nd, 12th, and 22nd in line with the Faith’s calendar.

The birthday celebration featured cultural dances and expressions of gratitude from local leaders. Kagadi LC5 Chairman Ndibwami B. Yosia credited Bisaka’s teachings for transforming the region:
“Before Owobusobozi, Kagadi was known for witchcraft and cannibalism. Today, we see a peaceful, hard-working, and united society.”

The Faith of Unity differs from mainstream religions by rejecting the Bible, which they consider divisive. Instead, they follow the Book of Faith and Unity, authored by Owobusobozi Bisaka. It promotes good deeds like cleanliness, helping the poor, and prayer as paths to eternal life.

To many followers, Owobusobozi Bisaka is not just a spiritual guide but is revered as “Ruhanga” God in human form. They believe as he continues to perform miracles and offer divine healing both spiritual and bodily diseases
