MUST issues dates for taking of professional oaths for medic graduands ahead of 27th Graduation.

Mbarara University if Science and Technology is set to hold her 27th Graduation ceremony at the university main campus in Mbarara.

The ceremony will be held on Saturday April 24th,2021 in Mbarara.

According to the info from University Academic Registrar’s office, the graduation ceremony will be held virtually, televised on NBS Television, streaming live on University social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter and on Eyit Online TV.

Graduands have been advised to follow proceedings if the event on the digital platforms provided.

In a notice by Martha Kyoshaba Twinamatsiko, the University Academic Registrar, science disciplines graduands are required to take prerequisite professional oaths for the  award of their degrees.

The April 8 notice set Wednesday April21, as dates for graduands  to be awarded degrees in; Bachelor of medicine laboratory science, Bachelor of Nursing science, Bachelor of medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of pharmacy and Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy to take professional oaths.

“Congratulations upon completing your degrees! You are invited to take the mandatory professional oath, a prerequisite for the award of your degree,” read excerpts of the notice.

The oath according to the notice will be taken on Wednesday April 21,2021 at Pharmacology grounds at 9am.

Graduands to take oaths have been advised to carry with them a face mask, graduation gown and hand wash sanitizer as a way of preventing the deadly corona virus disease.

Unlike other academic disciplines, graduands to be awarded degrees in medicine courses at various world over are required to take a mandatory professional oaths. This emphasizes professionalism in execution of their duties while in the field.
