Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Secretary General Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi has said he is not intending to disband the People’s Government offices at Katonga but to ensure a single centre of power.
Nandala was speaking to journalists before the start of the FDC National Delegates Conference at Patidar Samaj Sports Grounds Lugogo on Friday (October 6) when he dismissed claims of wrangles in the party.
“There are no wrangles in FDC. Those are a few self-seeking members . They re new comers; Lukwago and Ssemujju but nobody should go away,” he said.
He added that the FDC is and will remain a strong party.
On another hand, the Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat said all FDC members are allowed to access Najjanankumbi offices but warned of chaos.
“That’s their office as well and we have no restrictions against them to be in those offices but they have to use them to do business not to cause chaos,” he said.
While chairing the conference, the FDC vice chairman for central region, Mukalazi Kibuuka accused party founding president Dr. Kizza Besigye Warren Kifefe of steering up chaos in the party raising false allegations against Secretary General Nandala that he obtained money from unclear sources.
Mukalazi said Besigye’s allegations have caused divisionism and mudslinging in the party and urged the new leaders to ensure unity within the party.
