New Vision intern journalist, Ainembabazi Nowamani has been brutally injured by a group of goons at the FDC party headquarters.

The victim is Ainembabazi Nowamani, an intern student at Vision Group under the New Vision Newspaper.

She has been injured the teeth with blood oozing out of her mouth, and her phone stolen by the alleged goons. Other journalists including Charles Katabarwa of Radio Sapientia, Joseph Balikuddembe have been assaulted and their Mobile phones stolen while George William Katoloba of Namirembe FM was only beaten.

The alleged kifaces over 40 in numbers are purportedly deployed by Secretary General Nandala Mafabi and  President Patrick Oboi Amuriat to block party national chairman Amb Wasswa Birigwa from addressing his planned media briefing.

Ambassador Wasswa Birigwa was expected to address the media to clarify on the reasons for he suspension of party structure elections, a directive that has been ignored by the outgoing party President and Secretary General. They accuse him of attempting to takeover the duties of the party Electoral Commission.

Also, earlier today, the Kampala deputy Lord Mayor, Doreen Nyanjura posted that there are suspicions of violence to block the press briefing.

“We have learnt of attempts to sabotage the press conference by the same group that now worships gold but not God,” Nyanjura said

Joseph Balikuddembe, reporter at CBS Radio condemned the act of attacking journalists demanding that the party compensates stolen and destroyed equipments and other properties belonging to journalists

By press time, Ainembabazi was in a nearby clinic in Najjanankumbi.
