National Resistence Movement (NRM) Youth Carders says on Wednesday next week they are matching the European headquarters in Uganda to protest against the European Parliament statement on the just concluded general elections.
Yesterday the European Parliament strongly condemned what it described as widespread intimidation, harassment, arbitrary detention, and violence following Uganda’s general presidential and parliamentary elections held on January 15, 2026.
In a statement signed by Press Officer Elodie Laborie, the Parliament said the elections were “marred by abuses, widespread intimidation, fraud, violence and a nationwide internet blackout.”
Now addressing journalists at Makerere University gilud Canteen, Danel Habaasa the Youth leader disclosed that Uganda is an independent country and can do all its affairs without any help so it’s bad for the EU parliament to talk against Uganda elections.
Habaasa adds that they have decided to match to the EC offices in kampala to protest this impunity and to allow Ugandan people to execute their freedom freely.
He revealed that they have already written a letter to Inspector general of Police (IGP) to allow them have a peaceful walk.
However called upon all youths to join them in fighting freedom of Uganda.
On the same presser Habaasa has called upon the president of Uganda and the National Chairman of NRM to order for a comprehensive Audit at NRM Secretariat mostly on the 20billion Ugandan shilling released for elections process because it is said the money was not put for good use.
