One person has been confirmed dead and another injured following the collapse of a building under construction in Buziga, Kansanga, on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred in Katuusi Zone, Buziga Parish, Makindye Division, Kampala, when the structure suddenly collapsed.
In a brief statement shared on social media, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) confirmed the incident and said rescue operations were underway.
“We have learnt of a building that has collapsed in Katuusi Zone, Buziga Parish, Makindye Division, on the night of June 15, 2025,” KCCA stated.
According to the authority, one individual was pulled from the rubble and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Kampala.
“KCCA, together with the Police, is on site as rescue efforts continue. One person has been rescued and is receiving medical attention. We will keep the public updated,” the statement added.
