Over one hundred National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporters in Abok subcounty Oyam North, Oyam district have converted to the opposition UPC.
The converts were on Friday 30th June, 2023 received by the party president Hon. Jimmy Akena Obote in Aboko subcounty.

Since the campaigns started on June 22, over 500 members majority from the ruling NRM have converted to UPC.
Yesterday, UPC flag bearer Dr. Eunice Otuko Apio’s campaign trial led by the Party President Hon. Jimmy Akena traversed the Sub Counties of Otwal and Abok mobilizing electorates to vote for the Party candidate ahead of the Oyam North County Parliamentary by-election scheduled for July 6.
Today, Saturday 1st July 2023, the President and team will be campaigning for the candidate in Acaba Sub County and Oyam Town Council.
