A total of 903 students have on Monday 10th October, 2022 graduated from Namasuba College of Commerce in Makindye Ssabagabo Wakiso District.
These graduated in various vocational, business and technical disciplines and have been awarded certificates and diplomas in a graduation ceremony that took place at Freedom City.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony, Sheikh Elias Kigozi, the district Kadhi UMC, Wakiso muslim district also the Executive director of Umoja helping hearts asked graduands to use the knowledge and skills obtained at the campus for job creations through innovations and value addition.
“While you’re stepping out there into the world, some of you are going to be job seekers and some of you have already got jobs. Things aren’t going to be easy but nothing is worth a while than taking risks no matter how many times you fall. Dream big and don’t just dream but dream with goals and put Allah first. Work hard and you will be awarded accordingly,” he urged.
Sheikh Kigozi also emphasized on on honesty, self confidence and hard work by the graduands at work places.
During the graduation ceremony, the best graduands from various departments were awarded presents such as sewing machine, hand hair drier among others as their starting capital by the house of Zakat.
Hajji Dr. Ssebalu Kijjambu Jamil, the instition Director said that the institution works closely with other countries in the East African region to transfer knowledge to students as well as improving systems and standards of the member states and broadening markets for their products.
He urged the graduands to adopt to the new environment that awaits ahead of them.
“While you enter the field, prepare yourself to learn new things so as to be better than you’re now. We have done our part and what remains is yours. Congratulations!” Dr. Ssebalu said.
