Nobert Mao, the Democratic Party chairman general has confirmed to reports of his appointment as the minister of justice and constitutional affairs by president Museveni.
Mao made the revelations this evening (Thursday July 21) while appearing at a panel on NBS Television political talk show; the Frontline.
He further disclosed; “I have been called to parliament tomorrow Friday 22nd July, 2022 for vetting by the parliamentary vetting committee at 9am.”
On Saturday evening, reports by Faruq Kirunda, the deputy presidential press secretary on the appointment of Mao.awash the internet few hours after he entered an agreement to work with the NRM.
On signing a corporation agreement with the NRM, Mao execused that its lawful for DP to corporate with other apolitical parties NRM not an exception.
He said that the commitment of DP in the agreement is to prepare for a peaceful transition, fight corruption, national peace and reconciliation process as well as the national dialogue on the future of Uganda
He attributed his appointment as justice minister to walking the talk and oversee to the key issues in the agreement.
