Latest reports from Oyam Town Council and Iceme subcounty in Oyam North indicate a situation of terror ahead of tomorrow’s by-election.

The armed to the tooth with guns and Bartons police officers clad in uniforms and casual wears are reportedly beating up UPC members and Agents.

A yet to confirm number of agents has been arrested and are detained in unknown detention centres, and over 30 motorcycles have been reported missing allegedly grabbed by police.

UPC President’s Hon. Jimmy Akena and other party big wigs moving to the scene to ascertain the situation.

It should be recalled that the UPC since the election campaign started have been warning the army and police against voter intimidation, bribery and ballot stuffing.

Yesterday, the party president warned that he would move bumper to bumper to anyone who dares to rig the election.

By press time, the police had not issued a statement regarding the reports.
