KAMPALA
Authorities in Kampala are investigating a disturbing case of alleged kidnap involving a six-year-old boy in Kawempe Division.
According to the Kira Road Division Police, the victim, Mpirwe Tumwesigye Abraham was taken on Saturday afternoon by Mucunguzi David, a shamba boy employed by the child’s father, Dr. Tumwesigye Emmanuel. The incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. in Ddungu Zone, Kisaasi, Kawempe Division.

Police say the suspect left with the child to an unknown destination and failed to return. A case of kidnap was immediately reported at Universal Police Post, and statements from witnesses have been recorded.
Police spokesperson SP Kawala Racheal confirmed that efforts to trace and arrest the suspect are ongoing. “Investigations are continuing, and we urge members of the public to share any information that could help locate the suspect or the victim,” she said.
The incident has raised alarm in the community, with residents expressing concern over the safety of children in the area. Authorities have reassured the public that all resources are being mobilized to ensure the safe recovery of the child.
