The police have on Monday issued a report detailing the incidents of the murder involving three members of the same family in Luweero last week.
Last week on July 5 at night three people, a mother and her two children were brutally killed in Bukomba village Nakikoota Parish, Luwero district.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, police spokesperson SCP Fred Enanga reported that investigations by police implicated Steven Musisi, the head of the family as a serial killer in the murder after he suspected his wife of having children outside the wedlock.
According to Enanga, Musisi used a panga to hack to death his wife and their two children Namiiro Esther (9) , Mutebi Jonathan (1.5) and he also inflicted very great injuries to Namutebi Carol (7) and Mamuddu Cathy (5).
Findings also indicate that Musisi after committing this stressful act, he committed suicide by hanging himself inside his bedroom on the door. The mother and the two children were got in different beds with deep cuts on the heads.
“We want to warn parents, guardians and half parents to stop viewing children as their possession for they belong to the state and for that matter there are parents who really think that they can do anything with children which is very wrong,” Enanga noted.
He urged persons especially those in toxic family relationships to seek help from Child and Family Protection Unit and Local Council authorities than taking laws in hands.
