Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU), executive director Gideon Badagawa has died, management confirms.
Badagawa has passed on Monday this morning at Mulago national referral hospital where he had been hospitalized for days.
“The Board, Management and Staff of the Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU), with deep sorrow regret to announce the untimely death of their executive director, Gideon Badagawa, who passed away this morning Monday June 21st, 2021, in Mulago Hospital,” Dr. Elly Karuhanga, PSFU board chairman said.
Reliable reports indicate that Badagawa’s wife a one Susan Birungi Badagawa has also been battling for her life alongside her husband in hospital following the demise of her father who succumbed to COVID-19.
Bagandwa has died at the age of 54 and will be buried in Muyiira village Nambale sub county Iganga district on a date not yet specified.
In 2000, Bagandwa joined PSFU as Senior Policy Analyst, later rose through the ranks as Manager and Director for policy advocacy.
He the worked as Executive Director of Uganda Manufacturers’ Association (UMA) in 2008 from where he returned to PSFU this time as Executive Director.
