Due to President Museveni’s disclosure of having tested positive for the deadly virus COVID-19 on 8th June, 2023, 11 year old P4 pupil at Mbarara Junior School decided to write a letter to wish him a quick recovery.
Dallen Mwiza Ebenezer tasked his father Abel Mugyenyi a piggery farmer in Ruharo- Mbarara to help him send his letter of sympathy to the president of which the responded positively by taking a photo of the letter and through social media it reached the state house authorities.
Lt Col. Mwesigye James the Mbarara Resident City Commissioner appreciated the concern of the pupil and urged all Ugandans to be as patriotic as the young boy.
The Head teacher Mbarara Junior School Mugume Nathan thanked the state house and the Mbarara Resident Commissioner Lt Col Mwesigye for responding to Mwiza’s message to the president. He attributed His action to the freedom the school gives pupils.
At parrots, we landed on the letter that read; ‘Hello the president of Uganda. His Excellence president Museveni. My name is Mwiza Darlen Ebenezer. I am in P.4 J at Mbarara Junior School and am eleven years.
I heard that you are sick of Covid 19. Because God loves you and we love you too, God is going to heal you, I am praying for you that God will heal you. You are my Idol and when I grow I want to become like you after all you studied from my school.
