Bishop Comboni College is in sombre moods following the sudden death of their headteacher, Brother Johnbosco Kato who passed on today afternoon.
Brother Kato passed away at Kalori Lwanga Nyakibale hospital on Tuesday afternoon, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication.
According to a notice released by Sister Margret Magoba, the school chairperson board of governors, Brother Kato was driving from Kambuga to his home in Ibanda when he developed complications before reaching Rukungiri. He was later rushed to Kalori Lwanga Nyakibale hospital to receive treatment. Unfortunately, Brother Kato was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sister Magoba described Brother Kato as a devoted headteacher who played a significant role in the growth and success of Bishop Comboni Kambuga in various sectors, including sports and academics. His passing has come as a shock to his colleagues, students, and the entire community.
Brother Kato’s dedication to Bishop Comboni Kambuga will forever be remembered, as he strived to ensure that his students had access to quality education and a conducive learning environment. His passing is a significant loss to the school and the entire education sector in Uganda.
