This was revealed by the public Relations officer of Uganda National Examinations during press briefing at the police headquarters in Naguru today.
“The Seven include; Obbo Julius Ceaser, teacher of economics, Angukoru Josephine , a teacher of biology, Ntibiringirwa Bonifance , Waswa Godwin, Bamukabire James, Okello Emmanuel,and Sadam Hussein , all teachers of Napita Secondary School , togetger with an invigilator Oryema Bosco .” Kalule explained
She also added on 19th October 2023 while exams were underway, the suspects accessed the examination hall with power banks, smartphones and laptop under the pretext of charging them an act which was very suspecious to the scout causing her to report to the police .
Kalule said that investigations indicate that the smartphone for one of the teachers , Obbo Julius, contained answers for the biology pratical examination.
“Once Again we continue to caution the public against involvement in any form of malpratice , The public is hereby notified that unathorised possesion of any material that is purpoted to be a UNEB examination is an offence under the UNEB act 2021 , section 25(1).”
