Kidnappers of Naalya Secondary School student are reportedly demanding for Ugx 30 million ransom to have him released.
Kasita Muyinda, 14 yrs was reportedly kidnapped from Budaka District.
A case of missing person was reportex to police by Anna Namisi 40, a resident of Bwase Town Council and a search for Muyinda is ongoing.
According to Difasi Muyinda, victm’s father, also Veterinary Assistant at Budaka District Local Government, a relative picked his son for a usual evening ride but did not return home and after some good hours of waiting in the night, he received a strange call demanding money before they release his son.
The Bukedi north regional police spokesperson, ASP Immaculate Alaso confirmed the incident noting that this case is under their control already. She assured the parents that they will bring their 14-year-old boy back safe and sound.
‘’We want to assure the public that our directorate of crime intelligence has taken up the matter using our sophisticated technology to track down the suspects and we believe we shall rescue and recover the victim,’’ she said.
Similar reports indicate that the victim’s father had previously been kidnapped however, he returned with no injury but lost money and a National ID.
This according to security shows there is someone masterminding the kidnaps of the members of this family.
