South Sudan’s radio journalist, Charles Wote, attached to Eye Radio has passed away, Radio Management has announced.
According to the radio management, Wote died in Kampala, Uganda on Saturday morning following a short sickness.
“A Sad Moment for Eye Radio’s family;
It is with sadness and a heavy heart that Eye Radio, announces the untimely passing of its resourceful and most dedicated journalist, Charles Wote, this morning in Kampala, Uganda, following a short sickness,” Eye Radio eulogized.
Management commended Wote for his contribution toward building a strong media industry in South Sudan, stating that his legacy will endure.
“The journalist held a promising future for this country and the media industry at large. His legacy at Eye Radio, will forever be remembered. May his soul rest in peace,” Eye Radio said.
By Press Time, burial arrangements for journalist Charles Wote was not yet communicated. And his cause of death and other details of his demise remained scanty.
