HARARE: Zimbabwean president Emerson Mnangagwa has extended the term of office for country’s Chief Justice Luke Malaba, state media has reported.
According to reports by Zimbabwe Today, a local media, Mnangagwa has extended CJ Malaba’s tenure to five more years of sitting at the helm of the country’s judiciary.
Zimbabwe Today further reported that the Chief cabinet secretary Misheck Sibada broke the good news to CJ Malaba through a formal writing on behalf of president Mnangagwa who is on a diplomatic visit in Uganda to attend an inauguration ceremony of president Museveni that took place today May 12.
