Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Nkozi have been crowned winners of the Pepsi University Football League 2024/25 season after defeating, Ndeeba – Rubaga division slam based, St. Lawrence University (SLAU) 3:0 on Sunday.
The final, played at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium Wankulukuku, saw UMU lifting the trophy for the third time, and the second under Coach Kisuze’s leadership.
UMU booked their place in the final after defeating Bugema Adventist University, while SLAU overcame Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) to reach the title match.

Goals from Calvin Peter Emayu in the 35′, Crispus Sseruwunge 41′, and Obed Giu Ronald in the 55′ sealed the victory for UMU who last won the title in 2022.
SLAU, coached by Davis Nnono was left defeated, dejected, devastated, and finally disappointed (4Ds) after they struggled to break UMU’s solid defense and failed to register a goal, leaving UMU to lift the trophy unchallenged.
With this triumph, UMU Saints have firmly established themselves as the best team in the Pepsi University Football League (PUFL), adding a third title to their previous victories in 2017 and 2022, surpassing Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and Kampala University, who each have two titles.
In the third-place playoff, Bugema University edged IUIU 1–0 to finish third in the 2024/25 season.
