Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has said they are investigating two separate cases of examination malpractice involving candidates sitting the ongoing UCE exams.
The board spokesperson, Jennifer Kalule Musamba says the two cases have been reported in Kagadi district, western Uganda.
According to Kalule, two students of St Micheal Secondary School Nyagoma were caught writing each other’s index numbers in Geography Paper 1 and 2 on Monday and were attempting to do the same for Chemistry practicals.
The second case involved a student of another school who allegedly wrote answers for the Practical paper without carrying out the practical sessions.
Musamba further noted that they recorded two new cases of special needs learners one of them being an accident case and the other a cerebral palsy patient.
She said UNEB technical team has assessed the situation and will provide the candidates with the necessary support.
Senior Four (UCE) exams began on Monday (October 16) and will end on November 17.
